How Best to Work with Recruiters

First off be completely honest; whether it be your salary, job history/reasons for leaving, commute etc. Believe it or not Recruiters have ways of verifying this information.
Keep tabs of where you or other recruiters send your resume. Let them know if your CV has been previously sent to a company they may be telling you about. It puts you and the recruiter in a bad light if your resume has been previously sent. If a recruiter refuses to tell you who their client is, nicely tell them you do not want to work with them.
Before you submit your resume to a job posting online, call your recruiter first and see if he/she may have contacts within that company. Most of the time when you apply online your resume gets lost in the shuffle amongst 10,20,30 other resumes. Recruiters can sometimes bring your resume to light ahead of other applicants. On top of this, recruiters love the leads!!
Be realistic with yourself. If you are a Quality Engineer and have 5 years of industry experience, chances are a company is not going to hire you for a Director/VP level position. Additionally if you are currently earning $95K, you should not ask for $140K with your next position.
Lastly, If you don't hear from your recruiter, follow up with him/her. We are humans and occasionally need that friendly reminder that you are still on the market or need to follow up with a client that we sent your CV to.

Please Give
Pay the bills or buy Holiday gifts for their kids and of course electricity and mortgage comes first.
Many kids will not be getting gifts from Santa this year and as a parent, how do you explain to your little one's why Santa didn't come.
Long story short, next time you are in Walmart, Target, CVS, please see it in your heart to buy a small toy to donate to toys for tots, your local church etc. Put yourself in these people's shoes....
Thank you for reading.
Happy Festivus!

Happy Holidays
Let me start off by saying....Dolphins Win...Dolphins Win......As some of you know I am a Die Hard Dolphins Fan, and to see them win by 1 point....Wow.
Let me follow up by stating that the Fins will still go 9&7 or perhaps 8&8 and will squeak into the playoffs losing in the first round or not even make it but heck of course can't I gloat for a moment!?
As many of you know, my contract at CeQur has ended. It was a great experience and I can't say enough about the staff!! Thank you to everyone. I know our paths will cross again
As the new year comes upon us, I find myself looking for the next great opportunity. What do I want to do when I grow up? Well, I enjoy Business Development within the Life Sciences Sector, learning about new technologies, products etc and of course making new friendships along the way.
I know in my heart 2010 will be a great year, both personally as well as professionally. New heights will be hit and new ventures will be explored.
I wish each and every one of you a Happy Holiday and Wonderful New Year.

I have entered Oz
As an agency recruiter there is so much one can be privy to, gathering information via phone and an occasional on site visit but being on the inside or shall I say, having the ability to look "behind the Curtain of Oz" has been fantastic. There is nothing better than first hand experience of product development, quality systems, and the overall day to day operations of a company. Thus far it has been a phenomenal ride!
Stay Tuned, with luck, I will not be going back to Kansas!
Be well!!!
